40
years ago Porcelain Enamelled boilers were produced to a large extent
only in the U.S.A.; in the other countries the mass-production was of
galvanized steel tanks because copper, stainless steel and suitable
organic coatings were comparatively expensive and subject to price change.
But with the increasing aggressiveness of water and increased life requirements
for boilers in the last decades galvanized steel could less and less
cope with the demanded higher corrosion resistance and Porcelain Enamel
coating is actually state-of-the-art worlwide as low-cost valuable protection
for water heater tanks.
In the above flow-sheet manufacturing steps of porcelain enamelled tanks with different processing options are resumed. |
